The Prince Faisal Information Technology Center (PFITC) in Amman – Jordan is an entity formed jointly by the King Abdullah II Design & Development Bureau (KADDB), Yarmouk University (YU), and PERFECT (P) Ltd., India.
The main purpose behind setting up this center is to transfer to Jordan and the Middle Eastern block the know-how and experience in the emerging technology fields.
PFITC will extend the following services:
a. TRAINING
Master of Science in Computer Engineering – Embedded Systems program under the aegis of the Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan, with the participation of Park Enhanced Research For Emerging Communications Technologies (P) Ltd., {PERFECT (P) Ltd., for short}.
PFITC will focus on extending training to the trainees in developing embedded systems software and hardware design skills and enable them to work on projects involving Real Time and Embedded Systems under Embedded Linux, front end chip design using Very High Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL), Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) design and PCP layout design etc.
The Master Degree Program Plan has been approved by the Yarmouk University and agreed upon by the Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research, Jordan.
Short Term Courses on select topics in the emerging technology areas will also be extended as per periodic announcements in this regard.

UPGRADE,
UPDATE & RETROFIT SERVICES
The Prince Faisal Information Technology Center will also undertake design and development for upgrade and update of Defense, Industrial and IT related Equipment in the following areas:
1. Design and development of new military applications.
2. Modify, update, retrofit the existing operational software and hardware in operation with the Jordanian Armed Forces (Land Forces, Air Force, Navy, etc.) and Public Security, such as C3 systems, etc.
3. Design, develop or update the software diagnostic test programs for the electronic boards (analogue, digital & hybrid) to be tested on the Automatic Test Equipments.
4. Networking and Network Security.
5. Undertake design and development of customized software in commercial domains such as Banking, Hotel & Hospital Management, Documentation Management, Geographical Information System, etc.
